I Wrote These Books This Year. But They Are Not About My Life Right Now.

I want to tell you something I have been thinking about sharing for a while.

This year, I published three books. And if you have read them, you know they are not light. They are about hard seasons. Emotional exhaustion. Learning to feel safe again. Keeping your heart open after it has been hurt.

So I understand if you have wondered: is this person okay?

I want you to know the answer is yes. More than yes.

I am genuinely happy. I am in the healthiest, most peaceful, most loving chapter of my life. The version of me writing these words is not struggling. He is not in the middle of it. He made it through.

So why do the books sound like they were written from the inside of something hard?

Because they were.

These books were written this year, but they are about seasons that are behind me now. Years of patterns I did not fully understand at the time. Moments where I could not find my footing. A version of myself who was still learning what he needed and what he deserved.

I wrote them now, in 2026, because I finally had enough distance to put the words together clearly. Because healing gave me the language. Because I could look back at those seasons with honesty and compassion instead of shame.

That is the only reason any of it exists.

I also want to say this clearly.

The past I write about is not anyone else's story to carry. I am not interested in blame. I am not interested in pointing fingers. The people and seasons that shaped those hard years were part of my life, and I have made peace with all of it. What I wrote is about what I experienced. It is not a verdict on anyone.

This is my story, told the way I lived it. Quietly. Honestly. Without anger.

And my life right now looks nothing like those pages.

I do not say that to make the books feel less real. Those seasons were real. The pain was real. The searching was real.

But so is this.

The version of me who exists today is loved well. Is at peace. Is grateful in a way that is not performative or practiced. It just arrived, the way good things do when you stop fighting yourself and start letting your life actually happen.

I wrote these books for the person I used to be. And I hope they find the person you might be right now.

But I am writing this post for both of us.

To say: there is another side. And it is better than I imagined.
